Dear Prospective Student-Athlete:

Thank you for your interest in joining the University of North Carolina Wilmington Seahawk family! The NCAA has a variety of rules, regulations, and guidelines when it comes to recruiting and eligibility. On this page, you will find helpful links and information that will help you navigate the recruiting process.

Prior to any Seahawk student-athlete stepping onto the field or court, they must first be certified as eligible under NCAA rules. Register with NCAA eligibility center as soon as possible in order to have both your academics and amateurism certified. Here is the link to the NCAA Eligibility Center to guide you in that process and get you on your way to becoming a college athlete.

The NCAA provides the NCAA Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete to help you as well. This is a very helpful resource and will help you understand the academic standards and recruiting guidelines for high school student athletes who wish to participate in collegiate athletics. The NCAA also provides a guide for initial-eligibility requirements which can be found here.
